Large market orders on Hyperliquid

This page lists every market order of $1M+ on Hyperliquid over the last 24 hours — 15 orders right now, 0 anomalies for their coin and 2 series of sliced orders. The largest was a $4.02M BTC sell by 0xfe35…6002. The most anomalous — a series of 3 ETH sells by 0xa4de…b3c4 totaling $6.33M, 0.5% of the coin’s daily volume.

What counts as a large order

We read the stream of all trades on Hyperliquid. Every trade carries the addresses of both sides, so all fills of one aggressive order — the one that hits the order book — are merged into a single order. Orders of $1M+ are recorded. An order split into many small ones will not show up here, but if a whale placed it, it will appear in whale moves.

How anomalies are detected

A dollar amount means different things for different coins: $50M is an event for BTC, while for a small coin even $1M can be a large share of the day’s trading. So we compare each order with the coin’s trading volume on Hyperliquid over the previous 24 hours. An order of 1.5%+ of the daily volume is marked as an anomaly, from 3% — as extreme. The daily volume is saved at the moment of the order, so the mark doesn’t change later.

Sliced orders

Large traders often split one order into parts so as not to move the price in one go. Orders that follow each other in the feed from the same address in the same coin and direction, with pauses of up to 15 minutes, are highlighted as one series: a bar on the left and a summary row on top with the total, its share of the coin’s daily volume and the average price. A series is checked for anomalies by its total — each part may be ordinary while together they are an anomaly, and then the whole series appears on the Anomalies tab. Only parts of $1M+ are counted: smaller slices are not recorded.
