What is HLP on Hyperliquid?

HLP (Hyperliquidity Provider) is a community-owned vault on Hyperliquid. Anyone can deposit USDC into it, and the vault runs market making strategies, takes over liquidations and accrues part of the platform fees. Right now it holds $180.08M.

How does HLP make money?

HLP earns on the spread and fees as a market maker, on liquidations it takes over, and on a share of Hyperliquid fees. Since launch its accumulated PnL is $138.60M; over the last 30 days it is +$663.3K.

What is the HLP APR?

Hyperliquid currently shows an APR of 4.2% for HLP. The APR is calculated from recent returns and changes with market activity: it rises in volatile periods with many liquidations and falls in quiet markets. Past returns do not guarantee future ones.

Can HLP lose money?

Yes. HLP takes the other side of trades and absorbs positions that could not be liquidated through the order book. In sharp moves or attempts to manipulate thin markets it can take losses, and depositors share them in proportion to their deposit.

How do I deposit into HLP?
