Directional whales and all whales
A large short is not always a bet against the market: funds hedge spot holdings, market makers carry inventory, vaults take the other side of the crowd. By default HyperScan counts only directional whales — positions that look like a bet on price. Switch to “All whales” to see the full picture of risk, including hedges.
