Hyperliquid whale alerts: what triggers them, settings, whale tracking and Telegram

· 8 min read

HyperScan watches Hyperliquid and Lighter around the clock and raises an alert when something worth knowing happens: a whale hits the market with a huge order, whales line up on one side of a coin, a squeeze becomes likely or funding goes extreme. Alerts are free. You can read them on the site, in your account with your own filters, and get them in Telegram.

What triggers an alert

The same alert does not repeat more often than once every 6 hours, so a coin hovering around a threshold does not flood the feed. On Lighter the thresholds are lower: the exchange is about ten times smaller.

Where alerts appear

What you can set up

In the notification settings you choose:

Tracking whales

Press the star on any whale page or add an address on the tracking page — a Hyperliquid address (0x…) or a Lighter account number — up to 100 wallets. For tracked wallets you get:

Moves of the whales you track come from both exchanges whatever the exchange setting is — you picked these wallets yourself. The tracking page also shows their current positions and latest moves.

Telegram

Open your profile, press “Connect Telegram”, then “Open the bot in Telegram” and Start in the bot — the page updates by itself. From then on every alert from your feed is sent to the chat. This is what it looks like:

⚡ Anomalous order · BTC · 🟢 Buy 0x7a6d…f79c (whale) bought $12.30M in 3 market orders in a row — 4.1% of the coin’s 24h volume. Large orders → #BTC #hyperliquid #orders
⭐ Tracked whale · ETH · 🟢 Long x.com/SilkBtc opened long — $4.20M, position $4.20M, at 2,405.2 Whale page → #ETH #hyperliquid #tracked

Every message ends with hashtags: the coin, the exchange and the category (#orders, #twap, #consensus, #squeeze, #funding, #liquidation, #transfers, #tracked), so in the chat search you can find, say, all funding alerts for BTC. When many alerts arrive at once, they come as one summary instead of a flood of messages. To stop, send /stop to the bot or disconnect it in your profile.

Questions and answers

Are HyperScan alerts free?

Yes. Alerts on the site, in your account and in Telegram are free; you only need an account to choose types and connect Telegram.

How quickly do alerts arrive?

Orders are checked every 15 seconds and the bot sends new alerts every 20 seconds, so an alert usually reaches Telegram within a minute of the event.

Can I get alerts only for BTC or a few coins?

Yes: add up to 50 coins under “My coins” in the settings. Market alerts will come only for them; moves of the whales you track come for any coin.

How do I get an alert when a specific whale trades?

Add the wallet to tracking with the star on its page. You will get its opens, closes and liquidations, and adds and reductions if you turn them on.
